A special event of solidarity will be held in Mercer County on Dec. 3.

At dusk, all 12 municipalities will light up in support of victims of domestic and sexual violence.

It's part of the Womanspace's 17th annual Communities of Light Peace Begins at Home fundraising and awareness campaign.

The event will end with the lighting of hundreds of luminary candles by municipalities, organizations, businesses and individuals.

Proceeds from the sales of luminary kits will go directly to providing services to victims and their families.
