Candidates and campaign workers were hard at in the last weekend ahead of the midterm elections on Tuesday.
Democratic Sen. Bob Menendez is facing off in a tight race against Republican Bob Hugin that could determine the balance of power in the U.S. Senate.
In Newark Sunday morning, Menendez and Essex County officials rallied with Democrats working to get out the vote Tuesday.
Menendez had a slate of events throughout the day with Sen. Cory Booker, who has become a forceful voice for Menendez in the waning days of the campaign.
In Flemington, Hugin met Republican campaign volunteers before starting an afternoon campaign swing through South New Jersey. Hugin admitted the numbers show he has an uphill battle.
Polls show anything from a two-point advantage for Hugin to a 12-point Menendez lead.
Polling places open at 6 a.m. on Tuesday and close at 8 p.m.
