Family gathered in Roosevelt Monday to remember a 19-year-old New Jersey woman believed to have been murdered while away at college.
Emily Silverstein was found stabbed and choked to death at the off-campus apartment of an ex-boyfriend late last week. The ex-boyfriend, 21-year-old Kevin Schaffer, has been charged with her murder.
"There was no one nicer than Emily," says aunt Carrie Silverstein. "Sad how a 19-year-old life was taken in such a tragic way."
Silverstein attended Gettysburg College in Pennsylvania.
