Hackensack Meridian Medical Center and New Jersey EMS Task Force are holding a full-scale emergency response exercise in Old Bridge.

The drill will simulate patients transferred from the center into tents outside where they will be treated.

Its purpose is to make sure the facility is prepared in case of a major disaster that makes hospitals not operational.

News 12’s Taylor Knight was there and spoke with medical personnel taking part in the drill.
