A 51-year-old Mays Landing woman is accused of killing her husband on Christmas Day.
Police say Marylue Wigglesworth shot and killed her husband on Dec. 25, 2022. She claims it was self-defense.
Atlantic County prosecutors say Wigglesworth was indicted Tuesday on charges for murder and weapons offenses in the death of her husband, David Wigglesworth, 57, also of Mays Landing.
Hamilton police say they responded to a residence on the 5200 block of Mays Landing Somers Point Road for an injured male on Dec. 25, 2022 at 10:19 p.m.
The Southern Regional Medical Examiner’s Office completed an autopsy of David Wigglesworth and determined his cause of death to be a single gunshot wound. The manner of death was deemed a homicide.
Prosecutors say Marylue Wigglesworth was taken into custody and lodged in the Atlantic County Justice Facility. She is facing murder and weapons charges.
