West Milford Mayor Michele Dale confirmed on Saturday that a man who was pulled from the icy waters after falling through the ice at the Monksville Reservoir has died.
Mayor Dale told News 12 that a friend of the victim's family confirmed his death. His name has not yet been released.
First responders pulled the man from a frozen lake at the Monksville Reservoir in Ringwood on Friday. He was then taken to a hospital in Pompton Plains.
The death comes just two days after two teenagers fell through thin ice and drowned in separate incidents.
Those drownings happened in Cataret and East Brunswick.
