Mayor: 10 firefighters injured fighting house fire in Hillsdale

Ten firefighters are home recovering after being injured fighting a house fire in Bergen County.
The fire was reported around 3:30 a.m. Tuesday on Ellen Court in Hillsdale.
Mayor Michael Sheinfield told News 12 that the firefighters suffered some burns and other minor injuries but were not seriously injured. The mayor said the residents of the home were able to escape the fire without getting hurt.
“Everybody is safe. The owners got out of the house and since left, and so we're going through it to identify the source [of the fire] and so it begins,” Sheinfield said.
It was believed that the fire started on the back deck of the home.
