Masked man armed with machete and gun arrested in Clifton
Police say the suspect was also in possession of drugs.

A man armed with a handgun and a machete was arrested after pointing the firearm at a person sitting inside a car.
On Thursday, Clifton police were called to the area of Knapp Avenue and Schoonaker Place after a 911 caller reported being inside their vehicle when a man wearing black clothing and a black ski mask approached and knocked on the window. The caller also said that the man pointed a handgun and eventually left the area.
Police responded and located the suspect, identified as 47-year-old Eddy Calixto of Clifton, about a block away. According to Clifton police, the man was still wearing a black ski mask and was carrying a machete in one hand and a .22-caliber Makarov handgun in the other. He was also found to be in possession of a small amount of suspected cocaine.
Calixto was arrested and charged with aggravated assault, drug possession and weapons charges.
