History will be made this summer at Manchester Township School District.

Diane Pedroza is set to serve as superintendent of schools for Manchester Township, making her the first woman to ever hold the position in the district’s history.

The announcement was made at Wednesday’s board of education meeting and was welcomed by a standing ovation.

Pedroza will officially take over the role in July.
