A man and woman accused of calling in a fake bomb threat last year to a Bergen County business surrendered to detectives Monday, according to a news release from the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office.
Shane Turner, of Cliffside Park, and Nina Walsh, of Hawthorne, are both charged with making terroristic threats.
Police said a bomb threat was called into the Target in Edgewater on June 22, 2016, triggering a response from police and firefighters. First responders determined the call to be a hoax.
The prosecutor’s office said an investigation found that Turner and Walsh made the phone call to evacuate the area.
Turner and Walsh were both released after being processed, pending a first appearance at Bergen County Central Judicial Processing Court on July 5.
