The man who tipped off authorities about a possible terror plot against Fort Dix recently went public with his identity.
Brian Morgenstern, 23, of Cherry Hill, is stepping into the spotlight Tuesday. He is the Circuit City employee who alerted police about what he saw on a videotape brought into the Mount Laurel store.
?I saw men at a shooting range with hand guns, rifles and what appeared to me to be fully automatic weapons,? Morgenstern said.
Federal authorities launched an investigation into the tapes, which culminated with the arrest of six men in May. Investigators say the men were preparing to acquire weapons for the planned attack on the military base.
Despite the praise he is earning from neighbors, Morgenstern says he is not a hero. ?The real heroes are serving in Iraq and tracking down terrorists,? Morgenstern said.
