News 12 New Jersey has learned that a man who rescued two women from a burning home in Jersey City suffered a heart attack just as an ambulance arrived.
That man is also being treated for second-degree burns on his hands and face.
The fire broke out on Monday in a building located at 14 Manning Ave.
One of the women rescued is Iraqi War veteran Najimah Lewis. She is now looking for support after losing her home to the fire. Lewis has set up a
GoFundMe page for donations.
