Man accused of shooting 2 Newark officers faces new charges, will stay jailed

A man accused of shooting two Newark police officers is facing new charges.
Kendall Howard was already charged with two counts of attempted murder, among other charges, relating to the Nov. 1 incident.
He is now facing two additional charges for allegedly firing a gun on Oct. 28, a few days before the officers were shot.
Howard will remain in jail until his next court appearance on Jan. 9.
