The man accused of killing three family members in Pennsylvania is now facing a slew of charges in New Jersey.
Authorities say Andre Gordon, 26, allegedly killed his 13-year-old sister, his stepmother and the mother of his children. He was arrested in Trenton Saturday after an hourslong standoff with police.
New Jersey Attorney General Matthew Platkin released a statement and said, “The violence that took place yesterday shook communities in Bucks and Mercer counties to their core, and it stands as the latest in a horrific list of examples of why illegal guns and assault rifles are scourges that must be addressed.”
According to the Platkin, Gordon was charged by New Jersey authorities with several charges, including first-degree carjacking, second-degree possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose and second-degree unlawful possession of an assault firearm.
Gordon is also facing 32 charges in Pennsylvania, including six counts of first- and second-degree murder and multiple counts of assault and robbery.
He is being held at the Mercer County Correctional facility pending a hearing to move him to Pennsylvania.
Gordon's initial court date will be in New Jersey. A date has not been set yet. Officials say it could take a few weeks until he is returned to Bucks County.
