A New Jersey child has turned down a chance to have a dream fulfilled because he would rather help sick children whose families are struggling to pay their medical bills, officials with the Make-A-Wish Foundation said.
The organization grants wishes to critically ill children, such as arranging trips to Disney World.
When the 7-year-old Morris County boy was approached about his wish, he asked that money be donated to St. Joseph's Children's Hospital in Paterson, so less fortunate children could be treated. Make-A-Wish has donated $2,500 in the boy's name to start a hospital fund.
