A major water main break in Passaic is sending water running down two streets this morning as crews worked to contain the flow.
Passaic Valley Water Commission employees are on scene at Passaic Street and Wall Street trying to control the break.
Residents and businesses on and around Passaic Street and Wall Street in Passaic will lose water pressure for the next couple of hours according to Mayor Hector Lora who spoke with the President of the Passaic Valley Water Commission.
Commission employees are on site and mobilizing to repair the 12-inch break.
Because of the cold temperatures, water was freezing in some spots.
Police are blocking the roadways for safety.
