Justin Bieber will join Madonna, Shakira and BTS as a co-headliner of the first-ever FIFA World Cup final halftime show at New York New Jersey Stadium on July 19, FIFA and Global Citizen announced Thursday.

The 11-minute performance will take place during the World Cup final and will also feature Burna Boy, New York Philharmonic music and artistic director Gustavo Dudamel and the PS22 Chorus featuring Coldplay. The show is being curated by Coldplay's Chris Martin.

"When it comes to what the world needs, there is nothing more important than education," FIFA President Gianni Infantino said.

The halftime show will support the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund, which aims to raise $100 million to expand access to education and football opportunities for children worldwide. FIFA said more than $50 million has already been raised, including $1 from every ticket sold to World Cup 2026 matches.

"The FIFA World Cup brings the world together in a way nothing else can," Bieber said. "I'm grateful to be part of this Halftime Show, and even more grateful knowing it's already helping expand access to education for children around the world."

FIFA also announced that characters from Sesame Street and The Muppets will be part of the show to highlight the event's focus on expanding access to quality education for children.
