yesterdayA man was charged with attempted homicide for striking another man with a machete in Hamilton Township, according to police.
Police say Nicholas Schiarretti got into an argument Monday with a man at American Auto Repair & Performance Center on South Olden Avenue. Schiarretti then hit the man with a machete several times, according to police.
Police say the man was taken to Capital Health Regional Medical Center for treatment and is recovering from his injuries.
Schiarretti fled from the scene, police say, but later turned himself in to police custody. He faces weapon and criminal attempted homicide charges.
