A restaurant in Closter got a surprise good luck charm from a pair of customers after they ordered oysters, and found a pearl in one of them.
The pearl was discovered Saturday evening at Stern & Bow at 171 Schraalenburgh Road.
Anton and Sheryl Schermer, of Tenafly, found the pearl while enjoying their fourth oyster. Anton says he found a tiny object rolling around in his mouth.
The object turned out to be the pearl.
The couple gave it to the restaurant, and they plan to frame it.
