(AP) - Jersey City paid solemn tribute to apolice officer killed in the line of duty. Bagpipes skirled and hundreds of law enforcement officerssaluted as Det. Marc DiNardo's flag-draped coffin was carried fromSt. Aedan's Church. The 37-year-old married father of three young children was shot storming an apartment on July 16. Four other policeofficers were wounded in the gun battle and two armed robberysuspects were killed. DiNardo was taken off life support and pronounced dead onTuesday, one day before his 38th birthday. Hundreds attended a blood drive that his family organized in hismemory on Wednesday.
