Hoboken Mayor Ravi Bhalla, as well as elected officials and members of the community, celebrated the grand opening of a new multi-purpose gymnasium in the city.
The new, 6,835-square foot gym is located at 7 and Jackson streets, and is open for recreational basketball -- along with other activities.
The new space will allow the city to add more basketball teams for kids in grades 3-8.
The gym will offer open gym time for adults Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. No reservation is necessary. The gym will be open on a first come, first serve basis.
