The Osprey, a staple in town since 1946, announced it would not reopen because of the "expected reduction in capacity" and social distancing restrictions already in place.
In a post on Facebook, the nightclub says, “Summer 2020. Due to the expected reduction in capacity and the restrictions already in place as to ‘social distancing’, it is with much regret that the Osprey will not open for the 2020 summer season. Again, this is heartbreaking for all, but with a positive thought, we will be back to normal in 2021 to celebrate the 75 anniversary of the Osprey!”

The Osprey says the closure would last only for this season.
