The largest private collection of photos by legendary rock 'n' roll photographer Bob Gruen is located not in a museum, but in a law firm in Morris County.
The law offices of Sherman Sylvester, Wells and Stamelman in Florham Park has decorated their offices with Gruen's photos after he became one of their clients.
Gruen has been taking photos of rock 'n' roll icons for decades and even was John Lennon's personal photographer. He was the one who took the iconic photo of Lennon wearing his "New York" T-shirt.
He's also taken photographs of Elvis Presley, Bon Jovi, the White Stripes and everyone in between.
"It's really an accomplishment that I wasn't wrong," says Gruen. ""hat what I was doing in pursuing for so many years has turned out to be a big part of the mainstream culture."
Attorney and rock fan Tony Sylvester says that the photographs make his law firm a unique workplace and puts clients at ease.
"I'm starting to get the idea that our clients are not going to want to have meetings at their office any longer," he says. "They're going to want to be here, because they're going to want to see the photographs."
More than 40 of Gruen's photographs adorn the walls of the firm.
