This morning law enforcement is securing the area around NJPAC in Newark ahead of Mikie Sherrill's inauguration.

The inauguration will take place at 10 a.m. at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center in Newark.

Mikie Sherrill will be sworn as New Jersey's 57th governor.

Lieutenant Governor Dale Caldwell will also be sworn in.

Sherrill promised on day one to sign an executive order freezing utility bills which has been on the rise over the last year.

Drivers should expect delays in the area with nearby roads closed until 4 p.m.

Sherrill's Inaugural Ball will take place tonight at the American Dream.
