Seniors at the Leisure Village East community in Lakewood held an event to raise awareness and funds to fight breast cancer.

The gathering was organized by resident Harriet Goldberg, a breast cancer survivor and cohosted with the American Cancer Society.

A team, called “Grammies for Mamies”, was also formed to encourage women to get mammogram screenings.
