A nearly-century old business is once again open for the season.
Kohr’s Frozen Custard is a longtime staple of the Jersey Shore and all along the boardwalks.
The company was founded by Greg Kohr's grandfather in central Pennsylvania 99 years ago.
Kohr says that when his grandfather first brought the company to Seaside Heights, he had a little shack right on the beach.
“Literally just sand. There wasn’t a boardwalk. We’ve been here over 80 years now,” Kohr says.
The stand in Seaside Heights survived the boardwalk fire, floods and hurricanes.
The company is famous for its orange and vanilla swirl custard.
Kohr says that he wants to do something special for the 100th anniversary.
