Know Before You Go: New alert system helps pilots avoid collisions during takeoff and landing
News 12’s Roxanne Evans reports that Southwest Airline’s system uses a combination of GPS data, onboard sensors, and visual and audio alerts to warn pilots if they're approaching the wrong runway, flying too high, or moving too fast during takeoff or landing.
