A Passaic County mother and her sons have found a new way to spread positivity around the Garden State.
They're called kindness rocks and they're spreading in New Jersey. Rocks are painted with inspirational messages and hidden all over the place. Finders can either take them and paint a new one or re-hide the ones they found.
Annie McKay and her sons started the chapter for Wayne and Passaic County. McKay says that their goal is to spread kindness.
"Pure joy. Not only to the children but to adults,” McKay says. “Sometimes if they're having a bad day, if they're going through things, I feel like they stumble upon these rocks, that they're meant for them."
The group is now speaking with the library to create a rock garden with kindness rocks.
