A juvenile from Hazlet Township is facing charges for making a bomb threat against a school on Feb. 6, according to authorities.

The Ocean County Prosecutors Office says a caller claimed there was a bomb inside a dorm at Georgian Court University. The call prompted an evacuation, according to authorities.

Investigators discovered that the call came from Monmouth County. The underage suspect was detained and is currently being held at the Ocean County Juvenile Detention Center.

Prosecutors say the boy has been charged with making terroristic threats and causing false public alarm.
