A grand jury ruled Thursday that a Butler police officer who shot a man in March will not be charged.
According to officials, a Morris County grand jury voted not to indict Patrolman Jorge Reyes who shot 23-year-old Dylan Howard four times.
Officials say Howard ran into his grandmother's home following an alleged theft. They say police chased Howard into a bedroom where he then picked up a shotgun and pointed it at Reyes.
Police say when Howard moved his finger toward the trigger, he was shot four times. Howard survived the shooting.
