(AP) - If Moammar Gadhafi tries to pitch a tent in Englewood, N.J., he is goingto have do so in a construction area around the mansion owned byhis government.
Englewood Mayor Michael Wildes wants renovations stopped toprevent the Libyan leader from staying there when he visits theUnited Nations in September. A New Jersey judge gave Wildes apartial victory Monday, ordering a halt to work on the estate'spool and lengthy driveway.
The dispute arose after a Scottish court freed the man convictedin the 1988 bombing of Pan Am Flight 103 that killed 270 people, including 97 from New Jersey or New York.
The Libyans, who have promised Gadhafi will stay elsewhere, haveignored a stop work order issued after they failed to obtainmandatory permits.
