Jersey City Mayor Steven Fulop and the Resident Response Center celebrated the 27th annual Toy Drive at City Hall.
Nearly 2,000 children were able to participate – almost double from last year.
The children took photos with Santa and received gifts for the holidays. A fun time was had by all.
"This event is important for our community because it connects all of us in one place to celebrate the holidays. It gives us an opportunity to give back to the community and especially to help children in a time of need,” said Christine Goodman, director of cultural affairs for the mayor’s office.
The toy drive is made possible through private donations from individuals and local businesses.
