The Jersey Shore saw scattered showers throughout Saturday as the remnants of Hurricane Laura came through the area.
The rain from the start of the day lightened up in the afternoon, with people flocking to the boardwalk and beach. However, on-and-off showers continued.
The rainfall from this weekend made it difficult for Jersey Shore businesses owners, who are trying to maintain their outdoor dining spaces.
Around 2,500 customers were without power in Ocean Township as a result of the storms. Restoration crews say they are working as quick as they can.
More storms are expected to hit the area around 8 p.m. to 9 p.m.
