A group of New Jersey organizations got together for a riverfront revival.

Volunteers from Brick City Bites, the Newark Water Coalition, the Ironbound Community Corporation and the Passaic River Coalition suited up to clean Riverfront Park, the area underneath the Jackson Street Bridge in Newark.

Riverfront Park sits on the Passaic River and is the only waterfront green space in Newark.

The volunteers filled almost 100 trash bags and picked up 1,200 pounds of debris, including things like e-scooters, car bumpers and even a chainsaw.
