Volunteers went to Robert Grover Park in Jersey City to give the park a makeover.
The park is named for a local police officer who died in World War II and serves as a memorial to those who died in the line of duty.
The makeover was part of a community service project by the Jersey City Division of Veterans Affairs. Veterans, along with students at McNair High School, took part in the effort.
They cleaned the grounds, trimmed the shrubs and replanted some flowers. Jeffries Financial provided money for new flowers and shrubs.
