A Summit police officer had a “Jersey Proud” moment when he helped out a kid whose bike was stolen.

Police say that young Kieran’s bike was stolen this past week in town. Officer David Kotiga says he remembered when he had his own bike stolen when he was a kid and didn’t want Kieran to have to go through what he experienced.

Kotiga gifted Kieran a bike that he wasn’t using. He also worked with a local bike store to ensure Kieran got a new helmet and a new bike lock.
