Jersey Proud: New Jersey students participate in beach cleanup
A group of New Jersey students is making New Jersey proud by cleaning up the beaches at Island Beach State Park.
The group Clean Ocean Action hosted the students Thursday to give them a lesson about sea life and ocean pollution. The group holds beach cleanups every year, with the hope of getting the students to get a better understanding of the environment and how to take care of it.
"If they learn at a young age how they impact the environment and how they can protect it, they're able to lead us and lead our nation into the future in a more environmentally sound manner,” says Clean Ocean Action’s Kari Martin.
This was the 31st student summit.
