A horse in the Far Hills/Bedminster area was stuck in a muddy pond.
Police arrived at the scene on Thursday at around 2 p.m. and saw that the horse was buried up to its stomach.
Emergency responders set up a hoist and removed the animal slowly. Both the owner and a veterinarian were at the scene.
The horse was checked out and appeared to be OK.
