A young football fan in Long Valley had an unforgettable encounter this week.
This fall, Christopher became Hanover Park High School's No. 1 fan. He latched onto this high school football team and memorized the roster. He was in the stands for every game, home and away. And he idolizes the players.
With the season over, Christopher thought everything was done for a few months. But when he went to his aunt's house this week, there was a surprise waiting for him.
Thirty members of the team decided to come over and salute their most loyal fan. Christopher had no idea.

The team gave him a signed football and a jersey. And he got in a huddle with the players, too.
Christopher has a medical condition that prevents him from playing contact sports, so for him to get this moment was one he will never forget.
