Jersey Proud: Asbury Park educator competes in 'America’s Favorite Teacher' contest

David Reiff, a middle school language arts teacher at Our Lady of Mount Carmel in Asbury Park, is being recognized as New Jersey’s top teacher in the America’s Favorite Teacher contest.
Reiff, of West Belmar, has taught for 17 years at Our Lady of Mount Carmel, a K-8 school. He reached the quarterfinals of the national competition.
Reiff, a father of two, said the school does amazing things for the community and its students, and he is proud to represent them.
The support from voters shows the Our Lady of Mount Carmel community is just as proud of him.
