The Ukrainian American Cultural Center of New Jersey says residents banded together to donate more supplies than they could handle over the weekend.
About 3,000 households donated to the center. The line of cars was so long it created a traffic jam in Whippany.
The center says 12,000 boxes of donations are being shipped to Ukraine, totaling 600,000 pounds. Some of the donations include medical supplies, first aid kits, clothes, food and packages of diapers.
The Ukrainian American Cultural Center says they’ve gathered so many supplies that now they’re only asking for monetary donations.
