Jersey City swears in 19 military veterans as new firefighters
Jersey City now has 19 new firefighters in the department. Mayor Steven Fulop swore them in during a ceremony at City Hall Monday morning. All of the new firefighters are veterans of the U.S. military.

Jersey City now has 19 new firefighters in the department.
Mayor Steven Fulop swore them in during a ceremony at City Hall Monday morning. All of the new firefighters are veterans of the U.S. military.
Thanks to a federal grant, the new class is the first to complete additional EMT training.
The new firefighters are the 634th class in the fire department's 145-year history.
The new additions bring the department to 568 members.
