(AP) - A police spokesman says a woundedJersey City police officer remains on life support Tuesday. Authorities on Monday said Officer Marc DiNardo's conditiondeteriorated and his demise was imminent.

(AP) - A police spokesman says a woundedJersey City police officer remains on life support Tuesday. Authorities on Monday said Officer Marc DiNardo's conditiondeteriorated and his demise was imminent. Lt. Edgar Martinez says the 37-year-old is still in criticalcondition at Jersey City Medical Center. DiNardo was shot in the face with a shotgun blast as he andother officers tried to storm an apartment on July 16. Four otherofficers were wounded. Two suspects were shot and killed. Meanwhile, seven Jersey City officers suffered bumps and bruisesTuesday while pursuing robbery suspects. Deputy Chief Peter Nalbach says the suspects opened fire as theytried to flee in a car. Nalbach says the suspects also rammedseveral police vehicles. Nalbach says the chase ended with three suspects under arrest.Officers recovered two firearms.
