The Jersey City Board of Education held a virtual meeting Friday to discuss its plans to reopen schools this fall.
The latest proposal they're thinking about is to have students rotating through school buildings so it would be one week of remote learning and one week of in-person learning.
"It changes from day-to-day. There are things that are happening today, that didn't happen yesterday that we had to make changes. There are some things that'll happen prior to September the 10th that will also alter some of our plans, but we will make sure, there will be a concerted effort to make sure that the community knows of all of the things that are going on," said Jersey City School Board Superintendent Franklin Walker.
A survey was sent out to Jersey City teachers this week. As of Thursday, more than 200 of them said they may not return to teach this upcoming year.
The board will vote on a final plan next week.
