A Jersey City assemblyman is apologizing today for posting, what some consider, insensitive comments on his Facebook page during Sunday's Giants game.
The post on Assemblyman Charles Mainor's page says, "We are not going to just lay down, we come to play. Who the hell do you think we are, the Dallas Cowgirls or those gaybirds from Philly...No we are the New York Giants."
Some find the posting insensitive to the gay community, others say he?s just a fan being silly.
Assemblyman Mainor says he hopes his constituents don't take the comment to mean he isn't supportive of gay rights.
