“Jeopardy!” game show host Alex Trebek is giving an update about his pancreatic cancer battle, telling ABC News he now has a "closed-ended life because of the terrible survival rates of pancreatic cancer."
The 79-year old said he was "near remission," but now is indicating something different.
Trebek says the positivity he's been getting from loved ones and fans have made the battle easier to endure.
Trebek revealed back in March he had been suffering from stomach pains before being diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer.
He has become outspoken in raising awareness for the disease and the symptoms.
The American Cancer Society says there is an overall 9% five-year survival rate for all stages of the cancer combined.
