JCP&L: Hundreds remain without power following stormy weather in New Jersey

Heavy flooding and wind caused downed trees and power lines, according to officials.

Hundreds of people remained in the dark Friday after JCP&L reported significant power outages throughout New Jersey.
Heavy flooding and wind caused downed trees and power lines, according to officials. Many of those outages occurred in Morris and Hunterdon counties.
JCP&L says some customers may be without power until Sunday. In the meantime, water is being distributed to those who are affected.
There were more than 1,700 people without power as of 10 p.m. Friday. More than 100,000 customers were without power at the height of the outages.
