The late James Gandolfini’s son, Michael, has been cast to play a young Tony Soprano in The Sopranos prequel film called "The Many Saints of Newark."
The story is set in the 1960s, during the Newark riots.
The 19-year-old previously appeared in HBO's "The Deuce" as Joey Dwyer.
Michael told Deadline, "It's a profound honor to continue my dad's legacy while stepping into the shoes of a young Tony Soprano."
Michael joins several other actors in the cast, including Alessandro Nivola, who will play Tony's mentor Dickie/Dickey Moltisanti (Christopher’s father), along with Jon Bernthal, Vera Farmiga, Corey Stoll, and Billy Magnussen.

Gandolfini died back in 2013.
