Nike has just unveiled a basketball sneaker that laces itself using smartphone technology.
The “Adapt BB” sneaker is controlled by an app on your phone. The company’s website says that the shoes “adapts to your foot to provide a locked-in feel.”
The company says that once the kinks are ironed out, they plan to release the shoes and other tech-wear to the public.
Boston Celtics player Jayson Tatum is expected to wear the new sneakers at Wednesday night’s Celtics vs. Raptors game.
The “Adapt BB” shoes should be available to the public by Feb. 17 and should retail for $350, according to Nike’s website.
