A man from Irvington has been accused of a hate crime in Manhattan.

Federal prosecutors say Alazim Baker attacked a rabbi in October by grabbing his yarmulke, stomping on it and spitting on it before punching him and causing a brain bleed.

Officials say he also attacked two other Jewish men who intervened.

Baker faces up to 20 years in prison if convicted.
